Midnight Roses

We are very excited about a new venture with Lynn Kenny of Kenny Kreations, and Sharon Pederson of Nine Patch Media.

As many of you know, Sharon Pederson put together the Rose of Sharon quilt last year with fabrics from Island Batiks, and then Lynn Kenny did her magic with beautiful embroidery to enhance the classic quilt. We sold many of the kits for this quilt.

Lynn and Nine Patch Media have once again partnered to produce Midnight Rose. Lynn has been generous enough to refer the U.S. customers to Batiks Galore. We have a few completed kits available now, and we are waiting for the sashing to arrive by the end of February.

If you would like to get started on the applique and embroidery of this quilt, we can ship the kit and the embroidery CD (it contains the pattern) now, and ship the sashing (we will pay the shipping charges) when it arrives.

In March, the red and white version of Rose of Sharon (Traditions) will be available.

Timeless Treasures has 4 new Tonga Treats in strip sets, 10" squares and of course we got the beautiful yardage to go along with it.

Batiks Galore is now an official Pellon/Legacy batting dealer. This means we sell both retail to the public and wholesale to longarm quilters with a tax number.

Speaking of longarm quilters, our old trusty Gammill has been retrofitted with a Statler Stitcher, and we are up and running to quilt for the public. Call and ask for Dave to get a quote.

Classes are picking up once again. It just might be that everyone is looking for something to do indoors to get out of the weather! Check out the classes. In about 10 days we will have some new class listings from additional teachers. If you, or anyone you know, would like to have a beginner class, let us know.
